29th  February: At a recent Ebay auction, a Relic Hunter Press Kit got bought for a whopping $243.50! The kit which included  fact sheets, Tia Carrere photos and a very impressive 'Relic Hunter' folder, was sold by a popular seller named rockdiggingdog. The starting bid was $20, but after 9 subsequent bids, the bids had ventured into the remarkable $200 region! On the 15th December 2003, the bid ended, and we can only hope that the buyer is enjoying the goods of his fun-pack kit.

Sydney Fox once took part in an auction herself, during Season One (Episode 17 - A Good Year). Making a spectacular entrance in a red dress, Sydney was determined to get her hands on what she believed was a valuable relic.

Tia Carrere's seductive voice can be heard on Cartoon Network's animated series- 'Duck Dodgers'. She plays the Martian Queen - an exotic beauty ruthlessly looking to expand her empire.
The show has been aired since August 2003, and is currently very popular. There are even talks of a game of the show for the N64. Clearly, doing voiceovers for animations has much appeal to Tia.

For UK viewers, RH is being screened on Sky One Mix. On weekend days, catch it at 12 noon, and 2.15 am. On weekdays, catch it at 4 pm.

Tia was recently spotted at the premiere "50 First Dates". The film, which stars Drew Barrymore and Adam Sandler, was filmed partly in Hawaii. And the premiere, which took place there, pulled a whole heap of stars all wearing the traditional garland flowers around their neck. Here are some pictures of Tia on the night: (She looked gorgeous)

3rd December:
ANTIANEIRAI REVIEW
One of the gems of s3 in my opinion, Antianeira sees Sydney pitted against a bunch of renegade, modern-day Amazonian warrior women, as she avenges an old time mentor.
What stood out most about this episode were the fabulous fight scenes - with Sydney performing a lot more acrobatics than usual!
The end location was also a pleasing choice - set upon a ship - it was great to see Sydney and Nigel in an unusual location.
Probably what made the episode work was the fact that you really grew to hate the Antianeirai.  Chyna - having all the physical attributes - demanded the audience's attention, and seeing her take down several police officers, made you even fearful of this monstrous villainess.
The way she and her followers treated men as being just instruments was (at least, for me, being male) a tad bit disturbing - which is consequently why when Nigel punched one in the face, it actually seemed RIGHT!
In fact, this is a great episode for the development of Nigel's character. We see that he is very smart at solving ancient riddles himself, and the scene where he tries to get Natasha (Chyna's character) to walk on the booby trap is just hilarious.
Sydney also came across well in this episode. She reassures Nigel when the policeman does a stop and search, and she shows a deep loyalty to both Nigel and her mentor. Furthermore, when you see those bullies pushing Nigel about, you can't wait for Sydney to arrive on this scene and unleash some kick-butt action.
It's also good how Sydney and Natasha never meet until the very end - and only then do we get the big show down, where we are urging Sydney to teach that BITCH a lesson!
Even the supporting characters were cool, too. The hardened woman at the bar was strangely likeable, and the main Antianeri all seemed to have unique, individual personalities.
Of course, while all this is going on, Karen too is struggling to save a room of relics that Sydney and Nigel have acquired over their travels. She adds a bit of light-hearted, comic relief- and extra eye-candy! Although this episode is full of  that, lemme tell you! Lol
The only criticism is that Sydney and Nigel didn't hug when they were reunited! I thought that would have been a nice touch! But we already know they're close!

2nd December:
UK viewers can celebrate to the fac t that Sky One and Sky One Mix are showing episodes of Relic Hunter once again - apparently at 9AM and again at PM.

Currently, Tia Carrere is in Puerto Rico working on a film with Ving Rhames called Back In The Day. There are also rumours that she is working alongside rapper- Ja Rule.

The Relic Hunter petition has currently reached 101 signatures! For every hundred signatures reached, a huge update will take place on this site to reward Relic Hunter fans.

Interesting RH Fact
After the first season of RH, producers considered there to be some ambiguity as to whether the show was a drama or an action piece. They felt that some episodes would lean too far one way than the other. Thus, the aim during the production of S2 was to merge together both action and drama every week - producing tighter, more exciting adventures!

ESSENTIAL CHARACTERS TO KNOW
Kate - Interpol's sexy siren fights on the side of good, and has even had a little fling with our very own Nigel.
Derek Lloyd - A tough MIA guy, who works on a 'need to know' basis
D'Viega - Sydney's arch nemesis, who killed her mentor when she was younger
Stuey - A fellow relic hunter, but with only money and financial gain in mind
Preston - Nigel's likeable older brother

29th July 2003:
Rumours of a Xena/Relic Hunter crossover have been officially denied according to Creation. According to XENA producer Rob Tapert, the story is a "total lie and fabrication."

Earlier rumours had read that a televised Relic Hunter movie focussing around the Xena chakram was planned for next summer. According to Cult Times, Sydney Fox was to uncover the weapon and two lost Xena scrolls. The episode would also feature references to Xena episodes, as Sydney and Nigel went muck-racking for the truth.

In a recent interview, Lucy Lawless apparently said- "Me and Tia always wanted to have the two series' merge, but then Xena ended".

Meanwhile, Tia Carrere was alleged to have said: "It's very exciting. It's never been done before. We're taking an established series and weaving a narrative around it".

Whilst the stories now appear to be bogus, a number of supposed screencaps have popped up around the net. Here's a few of them for you guys to judge:
28th July 2003:
Not too long ago, I created a cool little Relic Hunter website that concentrated more on the 3rd Season. Although I lost the file when my laptop broke, it's still online at the following address:
https://members.tripod.com/rhr_trilogy/index.htm
It's pretty bare but there's still some cool news articles, and interviews with Relic Hunter stars. The writing competition deadline has been extended till December 2003.

5th July 2003:
"What is this?" you ask. Sydney and Nigel have finally admitted their love for one another? Well, maybe not on the show, but with the virtual magic of the game- "The Sims", Sydney and Nigel are enjoying a happy life together.
If you also have "The  Sims", Sydney and Nigel skins can be downloaded from the following website:
https://www.angelfire.com/games5/anesthesia/RH.html
However, if -like me- you have trouble opening the Sydney skin, there are alternative Tia Carrere skins on the net.
Once you have them, deposit ALL the files in GamesData/Skins.
Meanwhile, fun and frolics continue to go on in my Relic Hunter household! Take a look:
And just for you annoying Nigel fanatics (!) :
This is probably the closest you will ever get to see of  Christien taking a shower- so treasure it!

23rd June 2003: Earlier reports had pointed to Relic Hunter becoming a game for the Gameboy. I now have the official confirmation from Torus Games that unfortunately this is not going to be the case. This is what they had to say:
Thanks for your interest in Relic Hunter. Unfortunately the publisher didn't see a large enough market for the title and the project never went ahead. The concept would have made quite an exciting game though.
For anyone in Canada who gets the Space channel, they will be rebroadcasting the Making of Relic Hunter (Season III) on June 26th at 5:30am ET.

The Sanctuary: Was she good to interview?
Cano-Murillo: She gave really fun answers.
The Sanctuary: Anything funny happen during the interview?
